Why Join the Board?
- Play a key role in guiding an important organization in Nunavik
- Earn $350 per meeting
- Receive a free iPad + paid internet
- Enjoy travel opportunities
- Attend 4–6 meetings per year (mainly online)
Conditions to apply:
🟠 Ungava Representative:
- Be a James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement (JBNQA) beneficiary
- Be 18 years or older
- Reside in an Ungava Coast Northern Village where Saqijuq provides services (Kangirsuk, Kuujjuaq, Kangiqsualujjuaq or Kangiqsujuaq)
- Believe in Saqijuq’s mission and values
🔵 At-large Member:
- Be a James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement (JBNQA) beneficiary
- Be 18 years or older
- Reside in Nunavik
- Believe in Saqijuq’s mission and values
🟣 Elders Representative:
- Be a James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement (JBNQA) beneficiary
- Be 60 years of age or older
- Reside in Nunavik
- Believe in Saqijuq’s mission and values
The call for nominations is now closed and the candidates will be presented at the beginning of September via our social media platforms, so Nunavimmiut can learn more about each person before voting.
VOTE DAY: September 16, 2026
AGM DAY: September 24, 2026, in Salluit and online
